Angelina Jolie's directorial debut of a yet-untitled film about the Bosnian war hit a major roadblock yesterday when officials in Sarajevo denied the production's film permit. The official reason was that Jolie's application did not include a copy of the script, which her company has now submitted. But local officials and activists are now speaking out against what they say seems to be a negative portrayal of women rape victims who suffered during the 1991 - 1995 conflict. Jolie denied these claims in a statement:

There are many twists in the plot that address the sensitive nature of the relationship between the main characters, and that will be revealed once the film is released. My hope is that people will hold judgment until they have seen the film."

Bakira Hasecic, president of the Women Victims of War association, who claims "in the film, a victim is really falling in love with her torturer," says there should be no shooting in Bosnia "because of the script which offends a female war victim and distorts the truth about what that woman has suffered in a detention camp."

A representative for the film in Bosnia, Edin Skakic, denies the rape story: "Of course I deny that. It is not in the script."

Skakic says he expects a swift response from Bosnia's minister of culture. It is expected that if there is a storyline involving a rape victim falling in love with the rapist, the permit will be permanently denied. Hasecic says, "Among thousands of testimonies by women raped during the war, there is not a single one that tells of a love story between a victim and her rapist. We will not allow anyone to falsify our pain."

After Universal Pictures pulled the derogatory use of the word "gay" from their Dilemma trailer at the behest of CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, the film's star, Vince Vaughn, is speaking out.

The actor made a comment which seems to say he wants the "joke" to stay: "Let me add my voice of support to the people outraged by the bullying and persecution of people for their differences, whatever those differences may be. Comedy and joking about our differences breaks tension and brings us together. Drawing dividing lines over what we can and cannot joke about does exactly that; it divides us. Most importantly, where does it stop."

GLAAD President Jarrett Barrios responded with the following:

“Jokes can bring people together, but they can also push us apart. When 'gay' is used as a pejorative, it frequently sends a message - particularly to youth and their bullies - that being gay is wrong and something to laugh at. We invite Vince Vaughn to work with us and help ensure that gay youth and those perceived to be gay aren't put in harm's way by such jokes.”

Angelina Jolie took a break from filming her Bosnian War-set love story in Budapest yesterday to spend a little time with partner Brad Pitt. The romantic twosome sneaked off to a private corner of the closed-off set and had a mini make-out session. Talk about double the hotness!

Brad - who has been known to have a passion for photography - then decided to take a few pix of his ladylove. And it looks like Angie got a little shy and bashful (yes, even she is apparently capable of being shy and bashful) from all the attention and turned away, smiling. How sweet are these two?

A source very close to both Christina Aguilera and Samantha Ronson tells X17online exclusively that the singer and the DJ are taking their friendship to the next level.

Ever since Samantha went to Cabo with Xtina, "the two have been inseparable," says our source. "I've seen them hanging out together. Christina Aguilera really lets down her guard around Sam. They're very comfortable with each other."

The pop star was even seen leaving Sam's place late at night earlier this week AND she stopped by The Roxy on Sunday to see her new favorite DJ spin.

In June of this year, Xtina herself even told Company Magazine that she is "attracted to women."

The singer also said the following to Out Magazine in May: "My husband knows that I get into girls. I think it’s fun to be open and play."

Is it a coincidence that Aguilera suddenly split from Jordan Bratman so soon after her Cabo trip (where she got even closer to Samantha)?

Our source also reveals that the twosome's relationship is nothing like the one Samantha had with Lindsay Lohan. "Their relationship is different because Christina doesn't create the kind of drama that Lindsay did." Ouch!
