Gays and Lesbians have the right to marry in California ... and A-listers couldn't be happier! U.S. District Chief Judge Vaughn R. Walker from San Franciso has deemed Proposition 8 unconstitutional ... allowing same-sex couples to get one step closer to tying the knot.

Although Judge Walker's ruling to ban Prop 8 is expected to be appealed by the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, celebrities are tweeting their happiness about the decision.

During the last election, voters approved the ban by a 52.3% margin six months after the California Supreme Court ruled that same-sex marriage would be allowed under the state Constitution. Proposition 8 was then later upheld by the state high court as a valid amendment to the state Constitution.

GLAAD released the following statement to X17online:

"More and more Americans are supporting equality, and it is the stories of same-sex couples that are leading that charge across the nation. Today's decision comes after same-sex couples from across California shared their personal stories with Judge Vaughn Walker and the public, helping to show that all loving and committed couples – straight and gay – should have the same opportunity to take care of and be responsible for each other.

This means she'll be replacing model Lara Stone. Ouch!

According to an Armani spokeswoman, The Fox was picked because "she embodies the spirit of the women of today: free, confident and seductive. Her beautiful features reveal femininity, sensuality and strength."

Lindsay Lohan, sporting nothing but an open flannel shirt, bra and panties, worked the camera for celebrity photographers Markus Klinko and Indrani who were shooting for Marc Ecko's Fall 2010 campaign.

Not only is Miss Lohan appearing in the campaign, but she'll also be starring as Ecko's "digital muse" in a series of online video skits directed by Markus and Indrani.

The Eat Pray Love star, now 42, tells Elle the following for their upcoming September issue:

"I want my kids to know when I'm pissed, when I'm happy and when I'm confounded. Your face tells a story and it shouldn't be a story about your drive to the doctor's office. It's unfortunate that we live in such a panicked, dysmorphic society where women don't even give themselves a chance to see what they'll look like as older persons. I want to have some idea of what I'll look like before I start cleaning the slates."

Phoenix announced during the fall of 2008 that he had quit acting for a career as a hip hop musician, and Casey Affleck decided to team up with his brother-in-law to document the transformation. Yeah, we were wondering about that too...

MK talks to Marie Claire about her busy life as a movie actress, fashion designer (from The Row to Olsenboye with sister Ash) and, of course, a celebrity.

"I think it's really important to be able to talk when something's wrong. I learned at a really young age that if you don't talk about it, it can drive you insane," says Mary-Kate. "Sometimes Ash and I have to bring each other back, or push each other more. It's really helpful to have another half; we're constantly checking in with each other."

But MK also claims that she would "never wish my upbringing on anyone... but I wouldn't take it back for the world."

As for old photos of MK? "I don't feel connected to them at all," she says. I dunno about old pix, but this one above is as sexy as ever!
