Justin Bieber has been nominated for the Best New Artist award at the 10th annual Black Entertainment TV Awards, and he's up against Melanie Fiona, Nicki Minaj, Wale and Young Money.

Though it seems like a surprising choice, Stephen Hill, BET head of programming, said "[Bieber] makes the type of music our audience likes," adding that the 16-year-old star "has crossed the color boundaries in the way hip-hop has the other way for a number of years."

If we're basing this off of what teenage girls all over the world want, he may have a point!

Michael Lohan desperately wants Lindsay's mom Dina to be here in LA for tomorrow's DUI progress hearing ... even if Lindsay may be a no-show!

Lohan says he and his ex-wife Dina met yesterday to discuss Lindsay's future, as well as tomorrow's court date. Dina didn't have plans to come to LA for the hearing, but now that Lindsay could be facing jail time, Michael wants her to catch the soonest flight out of Long Island ... and he'll pay for her ticket!

Michael tells X17online exclusively, "I'm hoping that my offer to Dina to fly out to be with Lindsay will be accepted. Her mom needs to be here."

Reports claim that Lindsay has lost her passport, and will not make it back in time from Cannes for tomorrow morning's hearing. Michael tells X17online, "She's already making excuses."

Lady's life just keeps getting better!

While the world's biggest pop star was absent at the World Music Awards in Monte Carlo, she still managed to take home the most gongs!

Gaga won the following awards: World's Best Single for "Poker Face," World's Best Album for The Fame, World's Best Pop/Rock Artist, World's Best New Artist and Best-Selling US Artist. Congrats!

Meanwhile, the singer isn't limiting herself to music - Lady Gaga has applied for an internship with designer Philip Treacy to learn how to create her own line of unique headwear, according to Vogue UK.

Treacy and Gaga have already worked together on headpieces for her stage outfits. Sounds like a match made in heaven!

Lindsay is due for her court date tomorrow in which she may be found guilty of not fulfilling her requirements for her 2007 DUI arrest. Meanwhile, reports claim that Lindsay has lost her passport, and most likely, will not make it back from Cannes in time.

Michael Lohan tells X17online exclusively, "She's already making excuses."

Lohan adds, "I don't think the judge is going to buy that she lost her passport. It kind of goes with the territory."

If the judge doesn't accept Lindsay's excuses, there could be a warrant issued for her arrest. That means Lindsay could be taken into custody as soon as she arrives at LAX.

The couple (along with pal Tim Burton) was spotted at the Chanel party in Cannes last night, and we're definitely digging Vanessa's Grecian goddess-inspired dress. Rob Pattinson is on today's Ellen DeGeneres Show, and the sexy Twilight star set the audience into swoon mode when he walked onto the stage.

Naturally, the first thing Ellen commented on was Rob's new haircut, and the 24-year-old actor joked that he chopped it off due to a "terrible infestation" of lice! Of course, it's actually for a movie -- Rob starts shooting Water for Elephants with Reese Witherspoon this Thursday, and he chatted with a very enthusiastic Ellen about the new flick.

We're not sure how this happened, but Dominic was part of the group, and a source for E! Online says, "They were having fun, paryting. Lindsay was dancing. They were being coy with each other. Not really touchy, but flirty. After Grace's performance the sat down at the table next to each other and were hanging out."

After Lindsay denied having a lesbian relationship with 36-year-old photographer/reality TV star Indrani, it looks like she's on the market -- we're just hoping she's not attempting to snag her co-star's sloppy seconds!
