After trying (and failing) to have an intervention with his daughter Lindsay yesterday, Michael Lohan was comforted by his fiancee, former tabloid reporter Kate Major.

It's too bad Lindsay seems to strongly disapprove of Michael's new lady love, because if the two had some sort of positive relationship, we have to wonder if Kate might be able to work some magic with the 23-year-old hard partying starlet. Then again, I think Lindsay has already made it pretty clear she doesn't want anything to do with her dad or Kate, even if it might help her...

But she made sure to show off her lovely legs and super cute rubber boots!

We caught Kate Hudson shielding herself from the rain in New York City yesterday, and even though she got ragged on by Paulina Porizkova for her new breast implants, she's got a fan in Lisa Rinna! When asked about Kate's new boobs at the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood bash last night the nip/tuck happy actress said, "I think everyone needs to do whatever they need to do to make themselves feel good. And it's nobody’s business!"

David and Victoria Beckham took sons Cruz, Romeo and Brooklyn to Pinkberry in Beverly Hills today, and the famous family was accompanied by five police vehicles to help maintain order.

Posh flashed her best poker face while she rounded up the boys, and David was all smiles as he hobbled along with his walking cast. He may not be playing in the World Cup this summer, but Posh told GMTV this morning that he will definitely be there to cheer on his team.

Victoria told the show, "[David is] still going to go to the World Cup. All the players, both in England and in Milan, have been so sweet and so supportive, but it's just so great to have him back." Victoria added, "I left him on homework duty - so he's there right now finishing off the homework as I had to rush out. It's incredible to have him home, he's happy to be home. He's on really great form. He's hobbling around the house, poor thing." Awww!

Rachel Uchitel, Tiger's most infamous alleged mistress, is definitely planning her own reality show, and a source tells X17online exclusively, "She's been working on the concept with Mario Lopez."

Online reports claim that Rachel's show will be based on her search for Mr. Right. Ironically she recently told the Extra host during an interview, "It's very hard to meet someone when you are working all the time or you are in a certain industry. It's very hard to meet somebody that has a totally different life and hours. I'm very into loyalty, honesty and humor." So perhaps that's where their TV partnership developed.

Miss Uchitel has also been hanging in Vegas lately, taking dance lessons at Delgado Dance studios. This has led many to believe that she's upping her skills to be considered for next season's Dancing With the Stars. However, our source says "she's just doing it for fun." You have to admit though, she'd be a good get for DWTS!

So how are Rachel's skills on the dance floor? Without mentioning any "horizontal mambo" jokes, our source tells us:

"She is ok, but very lazy when it comes to the moves. Unfortunately, she doesn't practice very hard and after watching her dance, you can definitely see that."

We're told Tiger's most infamous lady friend has her dance classes at least twice a week and "she has to be snuck in and out of the studio" to avoid photographers seeing her.

As a former DWTS contestant, maybe Mario is giving her dance tips, too. But honestly, is the world ready for a Rachel Uchitel reality show? Let's hope Mario can help her create a hit! Good luck with that.

American Idol's ratings have been falling since Paula Abdul left the show, and adding Ellen Degeneres to the panel -- which was intended to boost viewership -- has only made things worse!

One Idol producer says it's not enough to replace just one person. At this point, the only thing that can save the show would be to get rid of Simon, Randy, Kara AND Ellen...and bring back Paula!

"I would replace the entire judging panel," former executive producer Nigel Lythgoe told Zap2it. "I don't think it really works replacing one person. They don't have a great deal of chemistry at the moment. Ryan and Simon have fallen out. It's uncomfortable to watch. Ellen hasn't worked out as well as we would have hoped."

His dream panel?

"Elton John, Usher and Paula Abdul."

Paula's denied rumors of a return to Idol in the past, but perhaps if they really do eliminate her former frenemies, she'd reconsider?

She certainly was in a great mood yesterday when she was out shopping in Beverly Hills! Maybe Nigel's really on to something...

Salma Hayek sported a pair of almost $6,000 Balenciaga peep-toe booties that looked quite uncomfortable to the Christie's Green Auction: A Bid to Save the Earth in New York last night.

Although wearing such opulent footwear to a green auction may not be entirely prudent, since Salma's hubby is the CEO of the company that owns Balenciaga, let's hope Hayek just borrowed the booties and will return them to be recycled to another owner!

Last night Aubrey O'Day attended the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Style Issue party at the W Hotel in Hollywood, and I'm not sure what look she was going for, but she should have done her research before slipping into this pink leopard one shoulder!
