ABC is reportedly planning on offering former Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan a "peace package" to entice her to drop her $20 million suit against the show's creator, Marc Cherry.

Nicollette is suing Cherry for assault and battery, gender violence and wrongful termination stemming from an incident in 2008, in which Sheridan claims Cherry, "took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head."

“Our legal team is working to get both sides together to see if they can help ­broker a compromise," a network source tells the Express. "This doesn’t mean that anyone is going to hand Nicollette $20 million to drop her action and walk away but there are various incentives that might be put on the table.”

However, if the case does make it to court, attorneys for both sides say they will subpoena the cast and crew.

Could make for more drama than an episode of the hit show!

"Hey guys! So yesterday I was doing a photo shoot with an adorable black kitty cat and I Twitpic'd this picture... I have been getting negative comments regarding the way I was holding the kitty, but rest assured, the owner and vet were on set and showed me how to pick him up. The cat was not harmed in any way and is perfectly fine! I love animals and would never do anything to harm any animals."

Heartfelt apology or defensive reply? Thankfully the cat is okay, but maybe Kim shouldn't have posted the pic in the first place? Or at least held the feline in a more acceptable way!

Jennifer Lopez is returning to her rom-com roots, with The Back-Up Plan opening this weekend, and she's been making the rounds of all the talk shows to support what she's hoping will be a stellar debut.

After an early-morning appearance on the Today Show, J. Lo did a quick change into a short-sleeved black coat and strappy sandals to pay a visit to David Letterman and The Late Show. It's not so superficial anymore. It doesn't matter if you're not 21 years old. It just matters that you're great at what you do. And that's exciting," she told The AP.
