The previous March record was held by 300 in 2006 when it took in $70.89 mil. Alice also holds the record for being the biggest opening for a non-sequel for any month of the year. Now that's impressive!

And its worldwide total so far? $210.3 million! Move over Avatar, there's a new sheriff in town.
