Lauren Conrad made an appearance at Barnes and Noble last night for the launch of her new novel Sweet Little Lies, and she looked oh so prim and proper as she smiled and signed copies of her latest novel.

While she may be a "fashion designer" and best-selling author now, let's not forget how she got her start! Maybe she should give her early career choices a little more credit, seeing as they put her in the position she's in today...

Either way, Benicio got so bored at the Madrid premiere that he just plopped down in the middle of it! Not a good sign.

The Edge of Darkness actor strolled the streets of Paris yesterday before grabbing dinner at Chez L'umi Louis with girlfriend slash babymama Oksana Grigorieva. Talk about a classy affair! Sidebar - I thought Mel was losing his hair? Guess he went and pulled a John Travolta!

The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office has listed Brittany Murphy's cause of death as pneumonia with prescription drug intoxication as a secondary factor, and now they're saying that this tragedy could have been prevented if the actress had sought medical help sooner.

Assistant Chief Ed Winter told People, "This death could've been preventable. Murphy was planning on seeing a doctor, but she unfortunately passed away before she did. This was a case of a person with pneumonia who was anemic who was taking medication when she should've been getting medical treatment."

Chief Investigator Craig Harvey revealed that the 5'3" actress weighed 115 pounds at the time of her death, and though her passing could have been prevented, Harvey added that she "wasn't the healthiest person in the world."

And I'm sure it didn't hurt that she was with PR guru Elliot Mintz!

In light of Dr. Conrad Murray coming under so much scrutiny this week - he'll be arraigned and charged with involuntary manslaughter on Friday for Michael Jackson's death - La Toya Jackson dined out at Mr. Chow last night with Mr. Mintz. Talk about a Kodak moment!

Interestingly enough, the Los Angeles County Coroner just announced that Casey Johnson's death was from diabetic ketoacidosis, a condition caused by low levels of insulin in the human body.

The Johnson & Johnson heiress' death was deemed natural, and like Brittany Murphy's autopsy results, officials say a second report with more details will be released in two weeks.
