Tom Cruise is busy shooting blanks and jumping off rooftops for his new film,
Knight & Day in Austria, while his wife
Katie takes care of the kids in New York.
Tom did all his own stunts for
Mission Impossible 3 (after getting Katie's permission) and it looks like she's also given the go-ahead for Tom to have his fun on this film, too!
With Thanksgiving just two days away, will Tom make it back to the states in one piece in time to carve the turkey?

A jury convicted the Ohio police chief who was accused of breaking into Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick's surrogate's house of three felonies for receiving stolen property, theft in office and tampering with evidence, but acquitted him of misdemeanor burglary.
Martins Ferry Chief Barry Carpenter was accused of breaking into SJP's baby mama's house in May to obtain ultra-sounds and other information about the twins, Tabitha and Marion so that he could sell them to the paparazzi.
The AP reports that Jurors delivered the verdict after deliberating for twelve hours. If convicted, Carpenter could serve up to 10 years in prison.
He will be sentenced on December 10th.

I hate to admit it, but John Mayer looks mighty fine in these shots from the December issue of
Details mag!
The outspoken musician/serial dater sat down with the mag and chatted about everything from his rep as a douchebag to his sweet tunes, and he even gave X17online.com a shout out! Well, kinda.
On the subject of blogs, John says:
"Celebrities are the world's worst data gatherers. We're day-trading in a small sliver of a demographic: people who read a third-rate gossip website and just have to post comments. Why would I want to jockey for position intellectually with people who read Perez Hilton or X17online.com?"
Okay, so he's suggesting that our readers aren't exactly the most intelligent individuals, but we all KNOW John checks the gossip sites as much as the rest of us, and he even tips us off on Twitter! Remember that time we caught him at the Hotel Cafe for that intimate performance? That tip was courtesy of a tweet from the man himself!
Anyway, what does John have to say about the people who hate him?
"What if I had a booth on the street and I said, 'Attention, everybody who hates me: If you have a problem with me, I'm ready to hear your gripes! I will be outside the Barneys store on 60th Street from two to four this afternoon ... How many people do you think would be standing there? I'm talking about people getting the chance to tell me directly, 'I think you're a douchebag.' You know how many people would do it? Ze-ro. You know what they'd do? They'd walk up and say, 'I'm just messin' with ya.' And you know what I'd say? I'd say, 'You're a douchebag!'"
Hey, I have
something a lot of things I'd like to say to him! After his comment about X17online readers, is there something you'd like to say to him too? Let us know in the comment section below, and we'll send the Twitter addict some tweets later in the day!

They say things always happen in threes, and after first
J.Lo, then
Adam Lambert falling down on stage at the AMAs, Kelly Osbourne completed the trinity by stumbling in her freestyle disco routine for the finale of
Dancing With the Stars.
Luckily, Kelly, who got stuck between partner Louis Van Amstel's legs, didn't let the misstep put a damper on her evening. In fact, the mess up made her get the uncontrollable giggles in the middle of her routine!
Despite the mistake, which may cost her the mirror-ball trophy, "I had the best time," said Kel.
Kelly's judges' score of 76 puts her in third place behind Mya, who leads with 87 and Donny Osmond, who's a close second with 85.
But of course, everything could change when they tally the viewers' votes. Who do you think will win tonight?

Last night Rihanna made an appearance at Best Buy in NYC to promote her new album, Rated R, but she left her risque outfits at the door for the event. Rihanna smiled for photographers and signed dozens of albums for her fans, and she also posed and chatted with a little girl who has leukemia. Awww, looks like this good girl gone bad has gone back to the other side!

When we caught La Toya Jackson at Boa restaurant in West Hollywood last night, she kept her cool but told X17 photographers, "Dr. Murray he murdered my brother and it was wrong and nobody should hire him, it's wrong."
Think she's right?

Aw, poor guy. It must suck not being able to see your kids over the holidays... especially when you have eight of 'em!
We caught up with the reality star in NYC and inquired about his Thanksgiving plans, to which he replied: "I won't be home, I'm going to my grandma's."
Jon G. also neglected to discuss the Kate Major drama, explaining that he "can't talk about court."
It's going to be a rough holiday season for this whole family!
