The Backstreet Boys were forced to cancel a meet and greet in NYC today after Brian Littrell was diagnosed with the swine flu. A rep for the band told the press that Nick Carter, Howie Dorough and AJ McLean have all met with a doctor as a precaution, and so far the rest of the boys seem okay.

The band also had to cancel their performance on The Early Show tomorrow, where they were scheduled to perform their new single, "Straight Through My Heart."

Oh no! This isn't good.

We spotted actress slash rocker Taylor Momsen on the set of Gossip Girl today and it looks like the poor girl collapsed while shooting on the steps of Central Park! Maybe she needs something to eat or some water?

An X17 photog on the scene tells us the following: "Taylor did not look well. She seems either sick or incredibly exhausted. She kept lowering her head on the ground, taking many breaks from filming. Everyone seemed worried!"

Taylor does look pretty pale! But she was a trooper and kept on shooting (and texting). Let's hope they're not working her too hard over there!





Calls to Momsen's reps have not yet been returned...

Our photogs tell us that Seal was the perfect gentleman, opening the door for her and everything. Aw! Their marriage seems as solid as Gwen and Gavin's. Moreso, even!

David Letterman took to the stage of the Ed Sullivan theater this afternoon for the first time since he revealed he was the victim of a bizarre extortion plot against him, where he received a standing ovation from the packed house.

"Did your weekend just fly by?" Dave deadpanned in typical fashion.

He went on to apologize to his wife by saying:

"She has been horribly hurt by my behavior and when something happens like that, if you hurt a person and it's your responsibility, you try to fix it. And at that point, there's only two things that can happen: either you're going to make some progress and get it fixed, or you're going to fall short and perhaps not get it fixed, so let me tell you folks, I got my work cut out for me."

Regarding the apology he feels he owes to his staff:

"I'm terribly sorry that I put the staff in that position," he said. "Inadvertently, I just wasn't thinking ahead. And, moreover, the staff here has been wonderfully supportive to me, not just through this furor, but through all the years that we've been on television and especially all the years here at CBS, so, again, my thanks to the staff for, once again, putting up with something stupid I’ve gotten myself involved in."

Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie - more commonly known as Madonna's ex-hubby - chilled out in Malibu over the weekend with buddy Jason Statham. Maybe they talked about Lady Gaga on SNL and Jesus Luz!

Courteney Cox sat down with Cougar Town creator Bill Lawrence to answer questions from viewers for AOL's Outside the Box, and not surprisingly, when asked who she'd most like to "unleash her inner cougar on", Cox named the one guy who makes the ladies (and men) of all ages swoon: Zac Efron.

"I will say I do find Zac Efron really handsome. I know he's young," she told Lawrence. "I tell Coco, 'back off!'" (For the record, Court's 24 years older than Zac, while daughter Coco's 16 years younger.)

Get in line, Court. It's already about 10 million cougars deep.

X17online is the first to report that Nicole Richie got into a minor fender bender on Canon and Wilshire in Beverly Hills around 2pm this afternoon.

Nicole was driving her black Range Rover when she was rear ended by another driver, and though no injuries were reported, the police were called to the scene.
