Jon Gosselin appeared on Larry King last night, and the reality TV dad made a sincere attempt to mend fences with his estranged wife, saying, "I made mistakes...I’m here to apologize to Kate."

HOWEVER, he kiiinda blew it when he started talking about the TLC drama again, saying that he was fired because the network knew he was going to quit the show! Just several minutes into the interview, Jon's attorney Mark Jay Heller told Larry that TLC terminated Jon's contract because they learned Jon was planning on making an announcement on the show that he didn't want his children to be filmed anymore.

Heller said, "I've been talking about pulling the plug on this program ever since I became involved." While Jon told Larry that his intention was to "pull the plug" on the show weeks before he was dropped from the program, Larry later read a statement from the network claiming that they had received no such word from Jon. Heller continued, "I guarantee you, [Kate Plus Eight is] a done deal. There's no judge in the country that will let those children work if the father is against it. I can assure you and your viewers that this show will not go forward with these eight children."

"I had an epiphany one day," Jon told Larry. "I didn't want to be the person I was any more. I had to take back my life...this show is not healthy for my kids and I want it to stop."

But what's he going to do for money now? Maybe he could take some tips from K-Fed?

Hmm, wonder what prompted this!?

Today Live Nation announced that Kanye West and Lady GaGa's "Fame Kills" tour has been cancelled. The concert tour was set to kick off on November 10 in Phoenix, Arizona and it was supposed to run for at least two more months after that.

Even though Lady GaGa recently called Kanye a "good guy" and added that she felt bad about the VMA incident, there are rumors that SHE was the one who wanted to bail from the tour. Or maybe those Kanye rehab rumors were true?

I'm sure we will get some clarification (in CAPS, natch) from the douchemaster himself before the end of the week...

Thankfully, Kim was able to calm herself down, and shortly after The Late Show taping, she informed the Twitterverse that the TV spot went "perfect," and by the looks of it, we'd have to agree!

First the network tried to change it to Kate Plus 8, the Jon got pissed, then Kate chimed in, TLC called Jon "erratic" and now Jon Gosselin's lawyer Mark J. Heller has released the following statement:

"As legal counsel for Jon Gosselin, I am totally confident that he will be completely successful in his quest to take back control of his family and preserve, protect and ensure their future well-being by putting the brakes on his divorce and pulling the plug on TLC, the media giant that he perceives as a monster that has exploited and manipulated his family and has been partially responsible for the breakdown of his marriage. Jon is resolved not to allow the TLC corporate machine to devour his family and promote the monster's best interests over those of his family. TLC and Discovery have been reputed to have generated approximately $186 million dollars for the quarter - compliments of the Gosselin family, and Jon firmly believes that their greed to continue that cash flow will be trumped by his courage and determination to protect his family."
