Michael Jackson’s brother Randy, along with an accountant and an attorney are expected to testify today about why a proposed memorabilia tour may not be in the best interest for the late pop icon's estate.

AEG wants the memorabilia tour to kick off around the same time as the opening of Jackson's This Is It film, though several family members (including Jackson's mother Katherine) seem opposed to the tour.

The LAPD has confirmed to X17online that they are investigating the now infamous "naked tape" of Dane, Gayheart and former Miss Teen USA contestant/Playboy model Kari Ann Peniche to determine whether or not any illegal activity was taking place.

In a statement, the cops told us:

"On July 30, 2009, an unnamed source provided the LAPD’s Detective Support and Vice Division, with a copy of a DVD. According to the source, the DVD contained images that could link celebrities engaging in illegal activity.

The LAPD was in the process of reviewing the voluminous files contained on the DVD when the story was leaked to the media. No determination has been made as to whether or not the DVD contained any information that could be used for a criminal investigation."

Although rumors that Peniche's former Celebrity Rehab roommate, country singer Mindy McCready, was the one to turn in the steamy tape are circling the web, the LAPD declined to reveal the identity of the source.

The couple's lawyer has threatened to sue anyone who displays the "private" video, but it's still available online for your viewing pleasure here.

LeAnn Rimes went golfing yesterday in Valencia, California, but rather than bringing her estranged husband/fashion consultant Dean Sheremet, she brought the object of her affection affair, Eddie Cibrian!

Sony Pictures and Sony Music are moving the release date for Michael Jackson: This Is It to Wednesday, October 28 according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Tickets will go on sale September 27, and the film will run for two weeks.

Disney pulled a similar move in February of 2008 when they released Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds, with the flick's limited engagement in bringing in impressive box office earnings.
