Can You Believe It's Been Almost A Year?!

Aww, and no one thought they'd last!

Sure, they've taken a break, they're rarely photographed together, and their relationship seemed questionable at times, but after their appearance at the 2009 Academy Awards, Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are still going strong and looking more lovey dovey than ever.

Jen first met John at an Oscar party in February of 2008, and by early May of that same year, pictures of the two getting playful at the pool in Miami hit the web. Around that time, Jen invited John to her wrap party for Marley & Me, and in late May, Jen traveled to NYC and Orlando to check out her boy toy's concerts. In June, the duo spent a romantic weekend in Mexico, and over the next few months Jen traveled to London, Wisconsin and St. Louis to watch her boyfriend perform.

Everything appeared to be moving smoothly, so when John announced that the two had ended their relationship in August of 2008, fans and reporters alike seemed shocked. A solo Jen was photographed in Hollywood, and John blabbed to the media that he ended the relationship so that he could be alone "because I don't want to waste somebody's time if something's not right."

However, the two must have really missed each other, because they were snapped leaving the the Sunset Tower hotel in West Hollywood in October, and it appeared as though they had rekindled their romance. After spending New Year's in Los Cabos, no one was surprised when John showed up to Jen's 40th birthday bash and serenaded her with a song he wrote just for the occasion.

So what was the next step? Why, taking a romantic vacay in the Bahamas and kissing in front of the cameras for the very first time! After the couple returned from paradise, the next order of business was getting glammed up for the Oscars and showing everyone they were in fact the real deal. Mission accomplished!
