Maksim Chmerkovskiy is fighting back over claims he abused Hope Solo behind the scenes of Dancing With the Stars. Solo, 31, made the accusations in her new book, Solo: A Memoir of Hope.

In her memoir, Solo wrote:

"He manhandled me in rehearsals from the start, pushing me, whacking my stomach, bending my arms roughly. I thought that was just how it went -- how dancers worked with each other. But it kept getting worse. One day, Maks was trying to put me in a certain position and hit my stomach so hard with his open palm that I had a red handprint there for the rest of the day."

Maksim responded to the accusation with the following Tweet: "Always hated hypocrites and liars, but when someone is both and an opportunist, I just feel bad for them. Can't win at someone's expense."

Hope also claims in the book that Maksim "slapped" her "hard" across the face during rehearsal.

So when are they tying the knot?

After reports that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were getting married at their estate in the south of France last Saturday, the media was on high alert. However, we sent an X17 photographer to check out Chateau Miraval last week and he told us there was absolutely nothing going on!

Today we spotted a half dozen construction trucks on the property, and though there is still scaffolding on one of the main houses, it appears as though renovations of the chapel and reception hall have been completed. Brangelina have also expanded their vineyard and added a small pool to their 35-bedroom, $60-million estate ... getting ready to entertain some guests, perhaps?

While Michael Latz, the mayor of the village of Correns, says that Jolie and Pitt will not be getting married this weekend ("I don't know who they are. It's nonsense. I've had 50 phone calls and I am telling everyone to get lost because this is tiresome and irritates me," he told local papers), he didn't rule out a wedding later this year! After announcing their engagement in April it was reported that Brangelina were preparing for fall 2012 nuptials, so it seems like the French tabloids might have jumped the gun when they reported that there would be an August wedding.

Pitt and Jolie previously said they wouldn't tie the knot until gay couples could legally be married, but the actor told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this year they may not be able to wait that long. "We made this declaration some time ago that we weren't going to do it till everyone can," Pitt said. "But I don't think we'll be able to hold out. It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot. And it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment."

Williams is currently dating actor Jason Segel and the pair divide their time between New York and LA. Rumors last month claimed the couple were engaged, but reports were quickly dispelled by Williams' rep.

Still, the pair are "totally in love," according to an Us Weekly source. Michelle and Jason have been friends for years, through mutual pal Busy Philips, but have kept their romance under wraps. News of their relationship broke in March.

Vanessa Hudgens appears to be covering up something Thursday as she left the gym. Maybe an it's-that-time-of-the-month facial blemish? Or a cold sore, maybe?

Nah ... as it turns out, Vanessa was just biting nervously on her shirt sleeves as a security guard from the gym escorted her to her car.

Vanessa has plenty to be nervously excited about, she was just announced as an honoree at this year's Variety Power of Youth event at Paramount Studios in September, according to JustJared. The day will celebrate outstanding young entertainers who have made significant contributions to their chose philanthropic and charitable causes, according to the report.

The actress supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Habitat For Humanity, Stand Up to Cancer and Keep A Child Alive.

Jessica Alba went to the Honest Company today, and later we snapped the actress grabbing a bite at Veggie Grill in Los Angeles. Though her latest business venture is a hit, she reveals that it was a long time coming. “It took me three-and-a-half years to launch. When things didn’t go smoothly, I’d get really upset," she admits to the new issue of Self Magazine. "I worried that I was wasting so much time and money. It really does feel like this is my third baby."

Speaking of babies, Jess also talks about motherhood -- specifically a major scare she had with her oldest daughter a few years ago! “I found my daughter Honor sitting in her crib, eating these tiny beads from the inside of her diaper,” Jess tells the mag. “They were all over her face. It was a moment of terror.” Yikes!

"I'm really excited about the next generation. Philanthropy is no longer just for the rich," Wilde told the mag.
