We must admit, we're kinda relieved to hear this news.

While we love Blake Lively as an NYC fashionista on Gossip Girl, we're not so sure she'd be the ideal actress to fill Ms. Sarah Jessica Parker's Manolo's in the Sex & The City prequel.

While it was widely reported The Town star might take on the role of a young Carrie Bradshaw circa the 1980's in Candace Bushnell's bestselling prequel, The Carrie Diaries, Lively’s rep shut down the rumor telling X17online:

"This is not true at all."

That doesn’t mean she’s completely out, but we'd really like to see an unknown cast as the fabulous icon that is Carrie Bradshaw.

The film follows young Bradshaw's high school days and her first few months in NYC when she begins a relationship with an older man.

If the 1980's flashback at the beginning of Sex & the City 2 is any indication of what's to come in The Carrie Diaries, there's no way we'll miss this film ... Blake Lively or not.

Kim Kardashian is a reality star, a model and a fashion designer, and now she reveals why she's going to to push forward with her career as a singer. "I can carry a tune, yeah," she tells the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar. "I have a cute little voice. I talked to people in the business, and they said, 'This is what we do for fun. You go to the movies, you go shopping, why don’t you try what we do?'"

While filming Kourtney & Kim Take New York, Kim hung out with Kanye West and apparently laid down some tracks, and it sounds like she's serious about it! Hey, if Heidi Montag can do it, why not give it a shot?

Kim, who poses as Cleopatra in this sexy spread, also admits to gaining ten pounds while she was in the big apple. Kim tells the mag, "All the papers were like, 'Kim's pregnant!' I ate the nuts on the street corner, the hot dogs, the street meat. It was not a joke." Kim adds, "I'm on a diet. I need to be. I love to eat—Kit Kats or cookies-and-cream ice cream. I need sugar like five times a day."

It's official -- Lindsay Lohan has been charged with felony grand theft, as the case has just been filed.

Lohan is being arraigned at 1:30pm today at the Airport Courthouse in Los Angeles, and she's being charged for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace from the Kamofie & Company jewelry store in Venice.

If she's convicted, Lohan faces a maximum sentence of one year in California state prison.

As you know, Lindsay Lohan will be arraigned at 1:30pm today at the Airport Courthouse in Los Angeles, and she's being charged one count of felony grand theft for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace from a jewelry store in Venice.

Lohan reportedly returned the missing jewelry, and though attorney Shawn Chapman Holley "vehemently denies" her client did anything wrong, things aren't looking good for the 24-year-old actress.

LA County District Attorney Danette Meyers is reportedly coming down hard on Lohan, as she believes the starlet has a history of stealing expensive things and getting away with it. You see, the DA has reportedly made a list of all the people who have accused Lohan of pilfering items over the years, and even though she was never formally charged, it does show a pattern of behavior, which is the main reason she's being prosecuted for felony grand theft.

So what kind of dirt does DA Meyers have on Lohan? Let's take a look:

• In May of 2008, Columbia University student Masha Markova accused Lohan of stealing a $12,000 mink coat from an event at NYC nightclub 10ak on January 26, 2008. The coat was returned, but it was in such bad shape, Markova went after Lindsay seeking compensation for damages, and in 2009 Lohan and Markova reportedly reached a financial settlement.



• Just days after Markova's accused Lohan of jacking her fur coat, model Lauren Hastings came forward and fingered the actress for stealing thousands of dollars worth of her clothes from her NYC apartment. The model says she was away on a job when her house-sitter hosted a party at her residence, and eyewitnesses told her they saw Lohan taking pieces from her wardrobe and handing them to her bodyguard! Hastings filed a police report, but the DA's office didn't press charges against Lohan, due to "insufficient evidence."



• In June of 2009, Elle magazine reported $400,000 worth of Dior diamond jewelry going missing after a photo shoot with Lohan in London. Scotland Yard investigated the incident, but the magazine later defended the actress, and no charges were ever filed.



• In April of 2010 Lohan was accused of taking a $35,000 Rolex from an acquaintance, but after being questioned by authorities, no charges were filed and the owner asked police to stop investigating.



• In January of 2011 Lohan was accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from Kamofie & Company in Venice, and DA Meyers reportedly has a surveillance video which shows Lindsay walking out of the store with the bling. Though sources close to Lohan insist it was all a misunderstanding, it seems as though the owner of the store and the DA are taking the matter lightly, and if convicted, Lohan could end up back behind bars.

It's also being reported that Lohan's past run-ins with the law (most notably, her two DUIs and her repeated disrespectful behavior towards the legal system) are also going to come back and bite her in the butt today, so it should be interesting to see what happens!

Jennifer Aniston is planning on having a family, but the former Friends star is telling People, "'Everybody, relax! It's going to happen."

The actress, who turns 42 this Friday, says despite the fact people think she's unhappy, it's quite the opposite. She adds, "I'm really happy. Really!"

Jennifer is also opening up about her love life admitting to the mag that she hasn't dated anyone in more than a year and a half ... and she isn't adopting a baby from Mexico or anywhere else.

During the intimate interview, Aniston says:

"I think people honestly just want to see me as a mom and married and barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen."

Just Go With It, her romantic comedy with Adam Sandler, hits theaters this Friday. Talk about a great birthday gift for Jen!

No one ever accused the Evil Queen of not being hot.

Julia Roberts has officially signed on to play the meanest stepmother of all time, in an untitled Snow White film project set to be released in June 2012 ... six months before Snow White and the Huntsman hits theaters, featuring Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen.

Ryan Kavanaugh, CEO of film company Relativity Media, said in a statement:

"Julia was our first and only choice to play the Queen. She is an icon, and we know that she will make this role her own in a way that no one else could."

The untitled film is based on Tarsem Singh's adaptation of the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs have yet to be cast in either film, but Kristen Stewart has been the rumored Snow White frontrunner for Huntsman.

Roberts' version will be a modern retelling of the story, featuring "more comedy and adventure", according to Variety.

We can't wait to see either film; it's been a long time since Snow White got an update!

Who will be the hotter Evil Queen: Julia or Charlize?

What an edgy choice for the usually squeaky-clean Disney star.

Selena Gomez is gearing up to take on a starring role in the upcoming film 13 Reasons Why based on Jay Asher's young adult novel which centers around a girl's reasons for committing suicide. Sounds like a far cry from Ramona and Beezus.

The novel follows a shy California high school student who comes home to find a box sitting on his doorstep. In it he discovers seven cassette tapes sent to him by his late crush, Hannah Baker (Gomez), who recently committed suicide.

The tapes explain the 13 reasons why she took her life, and Baker wants them to be sent around chain-letter style to the 12 people who played a role in her death.

While Gomez will play Hannah, the other roles have yet to be cast.

We can't wait to see Justin Bieber's ladylove taking on such a meaty role. Interesting choice Selena!

Lindsay Lohan will not be alone at the Airport Courthouse in Los Angeles for her arraignment on felony theft charges. Lilo's assistant Eleanor and friend Patrick Aufdenkamp will serve as witnesses for the 24-year-old star, according to RadarOnline.

A source tells the site:

“There were two witnesses with Lindsay in the store who are going to tell her side of the story. Her assistant Eleanor and her friend Patrick were with her and they saw everything and they both know that Lindsay didn’t steal the necklace."

Linds is expected to go before the judge at 1:30 this afternoon. She's accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from Venice jewelry store Kamofie & Company. Lilo's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, "vehemently denies" the accusations.

Just last night, X17 photographers caught Lindsay getting her hair done at Byron and Tracey salon in Beverly Hills. Our photographer told us, "Lindsay looked like she didn't have a care in the world."
