Fashion Week Frenzy!

It seems that every young starlet on the planet (except for Lindsay) has descended on Bryant Park for fashion week!

It's no surprise that Kristen Bell (who may be shopping for a wedding gown), Jessica Szohr, Sophia Bush, Shiri Appleby, Mena Suvari, Michelle Williams, Adrienne Bailon and Maggie Q would join fashion staples like Carolina Herrera and Anna Wintour in the tents. It is the biggest fashion moment of the year ... well, aside from the Oscars!

And we're really not surprised that most of them are wearing fur (check out the gallery below.) Well, it is just 36 degrees there today, but we hope at least some of that is fake!

That's not a good idea! When your mom is a fashionista like Victoria Beckham, you should put her to good use.

Two of the Beckham boys were spotted hanging out at The Grove with a couple pals on Monday, sans the 'rents. They're growing up so fast! Pretty soon they'll all have girlfriends...

Report: Avril Lavigne Swapping Spit With Brody Jenner

Yum!

Though he's been spotted picking up ex-girlfriend Jayde Nicole at the clubs over the past few weeks, sources tell E! Online that Hills star Brody Jenner is actually hooking up with Canadian pop/punk princess Avril Lavigne!

A source tells E!, "They're hooking up but they're keeping it low-key." Another source added, "You can tell they're into each other and both like to have a good time ... They're cute together."

After splitting from her husband in October of 2009, Avril was linked to Brandon Davis, and now sources are reporting that Avril and Brody (Bravril?) were first spotted out together at Koi on February 4. The duo reportedly left in the same car and then partied at Voyuer, where they were spotted again last Thursday.

Last night we caught Avril leaving Boa, and while she was shy about showing her face to the cameras, we had a little more luck with one of her admirers who had penned her a love letter of sorts. Check out the video below to see what he had to say!

Suh-weet! Although this isn't much of a surprise considering that the show is such a huge hit.

The CW announced early season renewals for its three top dramas today - The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl and 90210. Fans rejoice!

Plus America's Next Top Model will return, but not Melrose Place. The fates of Smallville and One Tree Hill are currently up in the air.

Thankfully, all we care about is the bloodsucking romance on TVD!

Save The Hollywood Sign!

Superheroes hollywood hollywood sign save the peak superman spiderman batman wonder woman Jesus

The time has come to rally! Those poor out-of-towners visiting La La Land hoping to snap a pic of the famous Hollywood sign...

Cahuenga Park is for sale - with an asking price of $11.7 mil - and the San Francisco-based Trust for Public Land only has until April 14th to raise the remaining $5.5 mil needed to save the day. Otherwise, the area will be bombarded with big new houses obscuring the view of the sign AND blocking trails.

Boo to this! Hopefully preservationists (who cloaked the 45-foot letters with "Save The Peak") will win out against the developers. The sign needs to stay!

Three Years Ago Britney Shaved Her Head, X17online Brought You The Exclusive Pix

Posted on Tue Feb 16th, 2010 12:30pm PDT       By X17 Staff

Three years ago, X17online's cameras caught Britney in one of her darkest moments ever -- the night she shaved her head.

It was just months after the birth of her second son, Jayden James and the break-up of her marriage to Kevin Federline. Britney had spent most of December partying non-stop (with famous friends Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan), and by February 16th, she looked tired, beat down and on the verge of a total break down.

After driving around in her car with bodyguards, where X17online spotted her crying, a tear-stained hoodie over her then-brown weave.

At 7pm, she went to a hair salon in Tarzana. The salon was closed, but Britney called the owner to come open it up for her.

It was then that X17online snapped these exclusive pix of the story that would rock the celebrity world: Britney picked up a pair of clippers and shaved her own head. It was the razor heard 'round the world!

At 7:30, Britney left the salon and headed to Body & Soul Tattoo in Sherman Oaks, where she got some new ink, including a pair of lips on her right wrist.

At 9pm Britney returned home, but by then the damage to her image was done. It would be known as the moment her downward spiral began in earnest and the biggest scandal of her career.

A week later, an enraged Britney attacked one of X17online's photographer's cars with an umbrella when Kevin banned her from seeing the boys, and a few days later, Britney checked into Promises rehab. At the rehab facility, she was photographed once or twice with her bald head, but was never seen without a wig or a weave in the ensuing years that it took to grow out.

The sight of X17online's photos of Britney with a shaved head scandalized her fans and the event tipped off an emotional breakdown for Brit that led to a hospitalization, the loss of custody of her two young sons and an eventual conservatorship by her father that is still in effect today.

Britney's certainly come a long way since then, with a hit album, a sold-out world tour, numerous MTV VMA awards and Grammy nominations.

X17online has the definitive coverage of that night, so click on the gallery below to view all the pix!

Sarah Palin Offended By Family Guy's Down Syndrome Episode

Posted on Tue Feb 16th, 2010 12:25pm PDT       By X17 Staff

sethpalinfg.jpg

On Sunday night's episode of Family Guy, Chris Griffin went on a date with a lovely young lady named Ellen, who just so happens to have Down syndrome. While Sarah Palin's name was not mentioned during the show, at one point during their date Ellen says, “My dad's an accountant, and my mom’s the former governor of Alaska.”

An outraged Sarah Palin posted the following message on Facebook:

"People are asking me to comment on yesterday’s Fox show that felt like another kick in the gut. Bristol was one who asked what I thought of the show that mocked her baby brother, Trig (and/or others with special needs), in an episode yesterday. Instead of answering, I asked her what she thought. Here is her conscientious reply, which is a much more restrained and gracious statement than I want to make about an issue that begs the question, “when is enough, enough?":

"When you’re the son or daughter of a public figure, you have to develop thick skin. My siblings and I all have that, but insults directed at our youngest brother hurt too much for us to remain silent. People with special needs face challenges that many of us will never confront, and yet they are some of the kindest and most loving people you’ll ever meet. Their lives are difficult enough as it is, so why would anyone want to make their lives more difficult by mocking them? As a culture, shouldn’t we be more compassionate to innocent people – especially those who are less fortunate? Shouldn’t we be willing to say that some things just are not funny? Are there any limits to what some people will do or say in regards to my little brother or others in the special needs community? If the writers of a particularly pathetic cartoon show thought they were being clever in mocking my brother and my family yesterday, they failed. All they proved is that they’re heartless jerks. - Bristol Palin"

Technically, Seth MacFarlane and company aren't mocking the former vice presidential candidate, and after watching the show, we weren't exactly offended by the way they portrayed Ellen's character. And hey, we're not the only ones - Entertainment Weekly's PopWatch had this to say about Sunday night's show, "Save for a few trademark-Stewie lines that erred on the offensive side, [the rest of the episode] actually treated Ellen very much like any other character, which shows quite a bit of respect in the Family Guy universe."

Plus, this is a Fox show - do you really think the parent company would have wanted to offend Fox News' newest correspondent? If it was REALLY that bad, I'm sure they wouldn't have allowed it on air, just like they did with the infamous abortion episode last year...

So whose side are you on? Sexy Sarah's? Or can Seth and his Emmy winning show do no wrong?
