Ready to spice up your life even more? Variety reports that Mamma Mia! producer Judy Craymer and American Idol creator Simon Fuller are developing a Spice Girls musical, tentatively titled "Viva Forever."

The musical will be based on "the songs and spirit" of the pop group, and apparently the idea was born when Fuller (who is also the Spice Girls' manager) sat down with Craymer two years ago during the group's reunion tour.

Craymer told Variety, "This is not a tribute show. It'll be a mix of fact and fiction, a story of women and friendship. The Spice Girls create a lot of excitement and the show will tap into the essence of them."

Sounds interesting!

Simon Fuller and everyone over at American Idol is wondering what to do when Simon Cowell leaves the show next year for The X Factor. A source tells Life & Style that AI was "desperate for Simon to stay. They told him to name his price, but he still walked away."

Additionally, the insider reveals that "Simon hope to blow American Idol out of the water with X Factor." So what's AI to do? Get an even better host to bring ratings up!

Actor slash singer Jamie Foxx, as well as Interscope co-founder Jimmy Lovine, are both strong contenders for the job... but "Madonna would be a dream," says Idol creator Simon Fuller.

There have been a handful of rumors that Kanye West was banned from participating in tomorrow's Hope For Haiti telethon, but MTV tells us that they have extended an invitation to the controversial rapper! The network released the following statement to X17online:

"We reached out to Kanye (through his people) about performing on the telethon. We did not hear back definitively but we DID ask him to be a part of it."

This seems like the kind of event Kanye would want to be involved in, but after his infamous remark during a televised special for Hurricane Katrina victims in 2004, it seems as though pressure from the public may be keeping him away. As you may recall, Kanye went on a crazy rant during his spot with Mike Meyers, where he vented about racism and plainly stated, "George Bush doesn't care about black people."

A source told AOL's Popeater, "Kanye has to make everything about himself. He will do anything to steal the spotlight and, well, this night it's just not about him." We doubt Kanye would ever do anything like this again (see the video below), but after snatching the mic from Taylor Swift during the VMAs, maybe he hasn't learned his lesson!

Almost a year ago, Rihanna was attacked by her boyfriend Chris Brown. Now there's a report on Star accusing Matt Kemp, who plays for the LA Dodgers, of having a history of violence toward women.

Actress Felisha Terrell filed a restraining order against the baseball player in June 2008 - the two had been living together, and she said he was "threatening, intimidating and stalking" her. She adds, "He is violent and I am afraid."

So are Ri's friends! One of them tells Star: "It's almost as if she has a dark side of her own... an attraction to bad boys."
